BFFs Kennedy Morgan and Logan Richberg Grow, Give, and Shine Brightly
Kennedy Morgan (left) and Logan Richberg (right) share a love of dance, learning, and helping others as MAAC virtual tutors.
As little girls, Kennedy Morgan and Logan Richberg took dance classes together. Still best friends today, these young women are both attending college in Washington, DC and working as virtual scholars for MAAC.
Here are their stories:
"Hi! My name is Kennedy Morgan, and I am a sophomore at American University studying political science and broadcast journalism. I am the production manager for the Kennedy Political Union and a choreographer for AU in Motion. After undergrad, I plan to go to graduate school to receive my masters in journalism with a concentration in politics. I enjoy tutoring the students that are really interested in the subject matter."
"Hi! My name is Logan Richberg, born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey. I am an honors student at Howard University studying sociology and political science. I am a member of my university’s mock trial team, and competed for the first time at this season’s regional competition. After undergrad, I plan to go to law school and become a civil rights attorney. I enjoy tutoring because there is a sense of accomplishment that comes with helping the student master their homework, or helping them feel confident for quizzes and tests they may have."
Perhaps the best thing about being a virtual tutor is the positive feedback from the scholars they serve. As one student told Morgan, "This is the first time I finally understood what the teacher was talking about.
